I have a little friend that sits on our counter. It waits for me each morning.
It brews me a wonderful cup of energy. The cup of energy makes me feel bullet-proof for a bit. That sounds like a drug. Hmmmm.
Yesterday…I went without my cup of energy. I felt it all day long. Today I will remedy that. My cup of energy will be pretty high up on my list of things to do.
When did I get old enough to need coffee to function with efficiency? Isn’t that for old people? People with gray hair. Oh yeah…those aren’t blonde shimmers are they?
I remember my grandparents sitting at their farmhouse breakfast table, drinking coffee out of orange coffee cups. Looking back…I’m sure that they were Fire King or Anchor Hocking. Anyway, they would sit there and while their coffee was still hot they would use a spoon and get little sips of it. They were relishing in a simple pleasure. I love that.
I hope that I have inspired you to have a “cup of energy” with me today. I hope that your Tuesday is amazing. I hope that after you drink your coffee…you can leap tall buildings in a single bound. After all, you are Dirt Roaders. Dirt Roaders…have a way of getting things done. 😉
I owe my addiction to your pastors wife! I now drink what I call fufu coffee. My Keurig and I are best buds, with a little pop in cup I am equipped to face the world … or at least my world. One of my favs is…. Butter Toffee, and…..Vanilla Biscotti, and .. Wild Mountain Blueberry, and…. Chocolate Macaroon and…
Sis. B….I am cracking up at this. I must admit…we purchased ours…and sung it’s praises to them. It wasn’t long and they and one of my parents had one too. Aren’t they just the most fun!? Especially if you are having a moment…all to yourself. I’m gonna have to try that blueberry. I spotted it at Ramey the other day…but I went for the Eight O’Clock instead. Dumb. lol!
My “cup of energy” is called…. Dr. Pepper. Ha!
B. Well…um…I had one of those too. I am switching it up today. The “joe” comes later. 🙂

I have a cup of energy but, but mine comes in the form of a tall glass of diet dr pepper. I like how coffee smells but I would need to be standing out in the freezing cold shrivering without any clothes on AND no hot chocolate within 100 miles , to get me to actually have a cup of coffee. I just don’t like how it tastes. But either way yes dr pepper helps me get my day going.
Carol…I understand. I have the ddp…sitting right beside me. 🙂 I used to be that way about coffee…but the older I get…the more friendly we are getting with one another. 😉 It gives me a little more pep than ddp. I’m not sure why. Hmmmm……
