There is an amazing song that our choir sings. It is a very somber song…yet a song of victory. Here are a few lines of it that I wanted to share with you today:
On a hill, as time stood still, He drew His final breath.
With a cry, that shook the sky, my Jesus tasted death.
His finished work has purchased me and paid for every crime.
His flesh was torn, so I’d be born…..twice in one lifetime.
For once upon a cross of loneliness and pain,
My dying Savior’s loss became my priceless gain.
For once upon a cross His lost life saved mine.
Once upon a cross…once and for all time.
Don’t despair Dirt Roaders. He rose again. He’s alive.
Much love from our stretch of the dirt road.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” John 15:13 We are not just His servants, but his friends. vs. 14-15
Remembering today the sacrifice he made for me.
Beautiful post today.
Sis. B. Such a good word. I am so honored to be His friend. Thank you. k.
