Happy Monday everyone! I hope that the day is being kind to you. We got a lot accomplished over the weekend here at the Farmhouse. That is a good feeling. Thankfully the weather was good. Today it’s a tad cheee-leeee. I wouldn’t want to be out building fence today. I am kind of a weenie when it comes to cold weather. I feel sorry for the people that are getting snow right now. One thing I do know…we do not control the weather.
I decided to bake a cake over the weekend. I did cheat. It’s a boxed mix and of course you can see the icing. I love Saturdays around here. The week before I was helping outside, but I enjoy Saturdays when I can just piddle around the house. Maybe bake something fun or rearrange something. Saturdays are fun for cooking too…because I don’t feel rushed like I do through the week. Saturday is probably my second favorite day of the week…because my first is…Thursday. Yeah…I don’t know either. 😉
Before I let you go…I want to tell you about an answered prayer. This morning during my quiet time I was talking to God from my heart. I was needing Him to let me know that my heart was being heard. He doesn’t have to answer prayers like these. He knows that I would still serve Him. That being said…it wasn’t very long until my cousin called and told me that I had been on her heart all weekend. Isn’t God good? He takes time…to hear the prayers of a daddy’s girl that is still hip-deep in the grief process. This would be a very long post…if I tried to list all of the ways that God has carried us through this. My sweet husband gave me some cut and dried wisdom one day. This is what he said: “God knew that this was going to happen…all down through time.” So simple…yet so profound. I love that. My Mr. balances me. I am truly thankful.
I hope that your Monday is filled with Sonshine. 😉 I hope that you look around and see things and in your heart you say…”God…that was You!” Those are the best moments in this old world. He is making dreams come true here at the Farmhouse. We are continually grateful to Him.
Praying for you, dear readers…
