Hey Guys! It’s Friday! Woo Hoo! Aren’t we glad? Today I have a question for you and I would love a bazillion replies! Are you a planner? As in…meal planner. Do you plan out what you are going to have a week ahead, and then cook accordingly?
I follow people on IG that do this. It looks truly amazing. I think that I have shared with you before about the fact that when I grocery shop…I buy plenty of meats and veggies to have several meals to cook. I sort of plan it in my head…but it’s more like I give us options instead of exactly planning it out.
Sometimes I wonder how I would do with a more strategic plan instead of cooking on the fly. I do usually think about it the evening before. You see…the thing is…these people that have these beautiful little meal planner thingys, well…it looks so fun. I have always been crazy about pens, pencils and fun stationery. So I have an ulterior motive for this meal planning. 🙂
I would love to hear your plan. Are you a planner? Are you a last minute whipper-upper? Please…I gotta know!
Dreaming of pretty paper,
Yes and no. Kind of like you I do get several different things . Planning out meals but not in any order. I cook to our “dietery ” needs during the week days and on the weekend cook those things we enjoy that maybe just are not so good for us.
Balance 🙂 I did get a chalk board made and the family has enjoyed along with me that I write what’s for dinner. It is fun. Never to old for chalk boards .
Carol….that makes me so happy..about the chalkboard. How fun is that? Anything, even the simple things are so fun…when enjoyed together. I like your balance. ♡ ~k.
Tried meal planning – didn’t work…our life is just too busy. I plan on being home for dinner on a certain night and then something comes up and we are not. I do however plan every other moment of my life – use a daily planner to track appointments and journal for each day. So that’s how I satisfy my lust for pretty papers and my favorite pens!
Chris….You are so organized! That is amazing. My life is a much slower pace…but I do have an amazing Picadilly journal…that I use with prayer and study. 😉 The paper is just right for your pen to glide across! Lol! ~k.
